About TWSIAM

Aims and scope of TWSIAM

Our objectives are: to promote mathematics in science, to facilitate cooperation and interchanges between Industrial and applied mathematics communities, and to seek to foster the scientific and technological development of Industrial and applied mathematics in Taiwan.

 

Activities of the TWSIAM

We are involved in the following activities in order to activate applied and industrial mathematics in the academia as well as in the industry, and to contribute to the progress of this field.

So far, TWSIAM has 8 focused forum for members interested in exploring specific areas. We'd like to contribute to the progress of applied mathematics, computational science, or applications fields.

 

1.         Exchanges between the academia and the industry.

2.         International exchange.

3.         Encouragement of research and researchers, research awards, activities aimed at promoting research results, etc.

4.         Hosting annual meeting each year.

5.         Publish newsletters semiannually

6.         Holding lectures, tutorials and symposia etc.

Affiliated Societies: International

TWSIAM has signed reciprocity agreement with SIAM and joined the global community .We look forward more combination with mathematics and industry internationally in the future and welcome different fields to open the more opportunities to encourage research and development.

 

Membership

Taiwan Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (TWSIAM), founded by the Civil Associations Act on June 26, 2012. TWSIAM is a non-profit social organization of 160 regular members, 15 group members, and 53 student members. To apply the TWSIAM membership, please contact the TWSIAM office.
